On December 6th, China National Textile and Apparel Council’s Scientific and Technological Award Conference was held grandly in the Great Hall of the People. The project Key technology and application of super high speed and low energy consumption cotton yarn spindles led by Professor Mo Shuai from the School of Mechanical Engineering, GXU, jointly completed by Jingwei Textile Machinery Co., Ltd., Henan No.2 Textile Machinery Co., Ltd., Hengyang Textile Machinery Co., Ltd. and other units, won the second prize of scientific and technological progress award. Professor Mo, as the person in charge of the project, was invited to receive the award in the Great Hall of the People.

It is reported that the China National Textile and Apparel Council’s Scientific and Technological Award is the only scientific and technology award for the textile industry in China, approved by the National Office for Science & Technology Awards of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Its purpose is to reward and commend individuals and groups that have made outstanding contributions to scientific research, achievements promotion, and high-tech industrialization in the national textile industry, representing the highest honor in China's textile science and technology field.
