From May 12 to 14, the 10th " Shi Tu Cup " National Student Vietnamese Speech Contest and Vietnamese Language Teaching Seminar was held in our university. The contest was organized by the Organizing Committee of the National Student Vietnamese Speech Contest, hosted by Guangxi University, and co-sponsored by the School of Foreign Languages, Guangxi University and World Book Publishing Guangdong Co.Ltd. 104 players, experts and scholars from 25 universities across China attended the conference.

This speech contest was divided into three groups for sophomore, junior and senior students, including prepared speech and impromptu speech. The judges for each group were nine Chinese Vietnamese teachers who were randomly drawn before the competition and scored the participants professionally in four aspects: intonation, expression, content and personal style. The themes for prepared speech include hot topics such as youth efforts, women's image, solidarity and patriotism, while the themes for impromptu speech cover mainstream topics such as hope, peace, science, technology and power of role models. During the competition, the contestants, sticking to the theme, shared vivid examples and expressed their feelings about the times, youth and devotion, and their bright expectations for the future development of the motherland in Vietnamese. The competition ultimately selected 21 first prizes, 27 second prizes, 32 third prizes, and 24 excellent prizes. Among them, our school's contestants Zhou Xuefang, Gan Shanshan, Shi Shishan, and Chen Xiaoliang won the first prize, Fang Jiali won the second prize, and Zeng Xiaohui won the third prize, fully demonstrating the solid foundation and comprehensive quality of our Vietnamese language major students.

At the National Vietnamese Language Teaching Seminar, participating experts and scholars conducted in-depth discussions on how to strengthen the construction of Vietnamese language majors in the context of the new liberal arts.
