Recently, the Carbon-based Resource Catalytic Transformation Team from GXU School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering has made a breakthrough progress in the research of carbon dioxide electroreduction. The research finding, titled “Atmosphere Induces Tunable Oxygen Vacancies to Stabilize Single-Atom Copper in Ceria for Robust Electrocatalytic CO2 Reduction to CH4”, was published in the internationally renowned academic journal in the field of chemistry, Angewandte Chemie International Edition (German Applied Chemistry). The co-first authors of the paper are Huang Fang, a 2022 Master student, and Chen Xiangyu, a 2021 Master student from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. The corresponding authors are Professor Xu Jing and Associate Professor He Huibing, with Guangxi University as the first corresponding unit. This research was supported by the projects such as China National Natural Science Foundation, Guangxi Natural Science Foundation, Guangxi Science and Technology Base and Talent Project, etc.
The Carbon-based Resource Catalytic Transformation Team from School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering has been devoting to the design, preparation, performance, and application research of carbon-based resource catalytic transformation materials for a long time. In recent years, they have published more than 30 SCI indexed papers in the research field of CO2 catalytic transformation.
