Recently, a research team led by Professor Yan Weiping from the School of Mathematics and Information Science at GXU, in collaboration with Professor Yuan Gonglin, have published a research paper titled Fast optimization of charged particle dynamics with damping in the prestigious SIAM Journal on Optimization. The study reveals that small perturbations in the magnetic field cannot alter the stability of charged particle motion in three-dimensional space. The team also established the relationship between the optimization algorithm for the relevant model and classical algorithms. This publication marks a significant milestone as it is the first paper from Guangxi University to appear in this top-tier journal, with the university being the sole institution credited. The research was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Guangxi Distinguished Young Scholars Fund, and the Guangxi Science and Technology Base and Talent Special Fund.
